PHOTOGRAPHER/VIDEOGRAPHER INTERN

Company: SRO, LLC.

Job Position: Intern
Location: Brooklyn, New York (Williamsburg)
Compensation: Small stipend

Length of time: Winter, Part-time position

We have started a newly-formed online company focused on putting designers in touch with more sustainable suppliers. We are seeking an energetic photographer interested in working with a young team and providing his/her technical expertise and artistic talent to the core of our image-based business. Projects will include in-studio still-life photography as well as portrait photography projects. More details will be provided upon interview.

Videography capability is a definite plus and will be given preference if all other items on resume and portfolio are considered equal.

+ Photography portfolio required (video reel or samples if available)

  • Photoshop, editing capability is recommended
  • Graphic design capability is a bonus though not required
  • Videography capability is a bonus though not required

Please specify what camera you have and any other equipment that you own including a link to your portfolio.

Approximate hours/week: Approximately 10 days a month

Qualifications:

  • Straightforward, technical studio lighting capabilities
  • Tight photography portfolio
  • Advanced editing skills
  • Creative vision

TECHNICAL TEXTILE PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE

Company: SRO, LLC.

Job Position: Intern
Location: Brooklyn, New York (Williamsburg)
Compensation: Unpaid

Length of time: Winter, Part-time position

This position is for an energetic, committed person with a specific interest in sustainable materials (as it relates to the garment industry), fashion and textiles. We are seeking someone specifically who has excelled and completed coursework and/or professional experiential work in programs such as, fiber properties, textile processing and design, textile/garment merchandising.

Intern will work closely with our core team and be exposed to the entire sustainable design supply chain. He/she may be required to do extensive research, including online, over the phone and sometimes face-to-face. A background in fibers research is a prerequisite.

Approximate hours/week: 3-5 days a week

Qualifications:

- An extensive interest/knowledge in textiles, trade and fashion
- An interest or passion for sustainability
- Eye for textile fabrications and design
- Great research skills (i.e. library, trade reports, science journals; access to college resources is highly preferred)

Eco-fashion in Kiwi land
