Summer Rayne’s Insect Urban Planning Tip of the Day:
Make sure your bodies of water are highly oxygenated. Stagnant water can attract mosquitoes. However, if you are a mosquito lover, I suggest setting up the “Blood Donor Facility” on the outskirts of the insect city surrounded by shrubbery, so as not to disturb the local residents.

Hey there…I am just beginning to put together a terrarium for my second grade classroom. Initially it will only have plants, but in the next week or so I would like to add some millipedes and eventually a few other insects. Did/Do you sterilize your soil or other additions (wood, etc.)
Just curious! Your set up is very cute.
I bought soil and wood from the pet shop and had no need to sterilize. The plants I bought were grown organically,
