After the Mozambican Civil War (1977-1992), the Republic of Mozambique was left in ruins. The lack of education and jobs, the drastic reduction of natural landscapes, and the growing prevalence of AIDS left a once-beautiful country and it’s people with very little hope. Critical and enterprising sustainable development initiatives to address these challenges within countries like Mozambique are greatly needed, which is where the Mezimbite Forest Centre comes in.
