Bag Monster uses reusable bags after reading, Style, Naturally: The Savvy Shopping Guide to Sustainable Fashion & Beauty
On April 19, 2009 during the Green Apple Music Festival, model-activist Summer Rayne Oakes met up with the Bag Monster to try to convince her to change her ways and begin using reusable bags. The Bag Monster picked up Style, Naturally and began reading. Witnesses say the New York-based BM immediately turned to the “Shopping bags” section. After reading, the BM surprisingly changed her tune and proceeded to sign a plastic bag tax (with the goal of eventual elimination) for NYC.
