REEL

FILM

eXtinction

eXtinction is an environmental art short that brings together powerful storytelling with visceral imagery. It depicts that the most pressing environmental issues are not happening thousands of years from now, but are in fact happening within our lifetime, and more personally on the timeline of a young woman’s life – from birth to death. Inspired by the magnificent filmography of Koyaanisqatsi and the timeless work of cultural heroes like Carl Sagan and Tom Eisner, eXtinction is as much a celebration of life’s beauty as it is about the urgency to cherish and save it from our own destructive forces.
stay tuned for eXtinction’s full release date in Q1 2012.

EndofBees

The End of Bees is a beautifully shot environmental fashion film documenting the demise of pollinators worldwide due to Colony Collapse Disorder, an unidentified disease that has led to the destruction of tens of billions of pollinating insects worldwide, linked to everything from pathogens to pesticides. Model and entomologist Summer Rayne Oakes takes us on an intimate journey through an uncanny and fearless up-close-and-personal look into one of the world’s most least understood – and quite possibly – most important insects.
