Launch and market an environmentally-conscious bedding and bath line.
Portico contacted me between finishing up my book, Style, Naturallyand dreaming up the vision behind what would eventually become the materials sourcing site, Source4Style. They were considering re-launching the Portico Home bedding and bath line—the one you most commonly see in the Hyatt Hotels—with eco-consciousness at its core. This would require overhauling the current sourcing practices and focus on more environmentally-sound materials like organic cotton and Tencel.Ⓡ
at the time of Portico's launch, there weren't many organic bedding and bath options in the mainstream market. The goal was to help make environmentally-conscious home textiles more accessible to the public and launch portico Home exclusively in bed bath & beyond, qvc, and sears canada.Products ranged from organic sateen sheets in a variety of shades as well as slubbed towels, wash cloths and bath mats (See below).
videos were created to run on screens in bed Bath & Beyond and sears canada to help communicate the difference behind portico home. after all— organic bedding and bath shouldn't look any different than any other designs on the market.
